Netcore is announcing its new PaaS platform based on Virtuozzo Application Platform. The new offering provides to our customers a modern PaaS platform to build new-generation applications, thus providing flexibility and innovation. By using Virtuozzo Application Platform Netcore customers will be able to use any development framework, includinng .NET Core, Java, PHP, Node.js, Python, Go and Ruby on Rails but they will also be able to mix such environments to reduce the time-to-market for new solutions.
The new platform also enables our customers to deploy tens of technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases, load-balancers, application servers, caching systems and it also supports custom configurations through the activation of virtual private servers (VPS) running Linux. By using Virtuozzo Application Platform developers can regain the control of their infrastructure and they can design unique applications that maximize their return on investment.
By using the new platform, our customers will be able to deploy Kubernetes clusters, the most popular platform to build microservices in an enterprise scenario. Enterprise-grade solutions for storage based on highly-available GlustersFS clusters or S3-compatible MinIO are also availble and they can be deployed with a few clicks.
While our customers can design their own infrastructure, Virtuozzo Application Platforms also allows to deploy and activate in an automated way tens of popular applications, with different setups and availability, all of them optimized for the best performances. The catalog of applications connstantly grows but it already includes popular items like WordPress, Magento, Prestashop and many more, ready to be deployed with minimal efforts, either in their simplest configuration or as highly-available setups. During the next months, that catalog will expand.
One of the most important features of the new PaaS platform is the auto-scaling feature, both vertically and horizontally based on criteria and triggers that customers can set. Auto-scaling will be completely automatic. Applications can then consume more resources during traffic peaks by detecting spikes of consumption for different metrics (CPU, RAM, networking and storage performance). After the peak will end, the platform will scale-in or scale-down according to customers settings, thus reducing costs.
Virtuozzo Application Platform allows to keep costs under control because at any time customers will be able to set a minimum and maximum amount of resources that each application can consume, thus providing a upper bound for resource usage during auto-scaling and preventing any surprise regarding costs because customers know in advance what the maximum bill for consumption will be. Those customers not feeling comfortable with pay-per-use billing can opt for a predefined amount of storage at fixed monthly costs.
Introducing the new PaaS platform represents a huge evolutioary step for Netcore IT customers that now have a modern and innovative platform to build next-generation applications and to mix applications, services and infrastructure up, a flexibility that only a few companies cna provide on the market. Furthermore, this new service also provide a guarantee about where their data is stored and who can actually manage their data, considering that new platform doesn’t use any third-party external service nor it will transfer the management of data to other parties.
During the following months the new platform will be used to consolidate many other services that will have a quicker and easier way to be deployed and cheaper costs. Customers will also be able to mix these services with other new services to create a very unique and customized infrastructure to innovate and modernize cloud applications.
Customers will be able to try Virtuozzo Application Platform completely free for 14 days.
